*Gojira* (1957) is the American re-edit of the original 1954 Japanese film *Gojira*, released in the U.S. as *Godzilla, King of the Monsters!*. The film follows the emergence of a giant, prehistoric sea monster awakened by nuclear testing, who proceeds to wreak havoc on Tokyo. This version stars Raymond Burr as American reporter Steve Martin, whose added scenes were integrated with the original Japanese footage starring Akira Takarada and Takashi Shimura.
