Pieśń o Rolandzie (1978) Original Polish Poster 27x38

Original Polish poster for Pieśń o Rolandzie (Song of Roland), a French historical drama directed by Frank Cassenti. The striking, abstract composition shows a mass of spears and arrows converging in midair, evoking the chaos and brutality of medieval battle. Rendered in warm earth tones with sharp linear movement, the design emphasizes myth, violence, and collective fate rather than individual heroism. A powerful example of late-1970s Polish poster art, using symbolic imagery to reinterpret a classic epic of war and legend.
