A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988), directed by Renny Harlin, is the fourth installment in the A Nightmare on Elm Street series. The film follows Alice Johnson (played by Lisa Wilcox), a survivor from the previous film, who has taken on a central role after the events of The Dream Warriors (Part 3). Alice discovers that Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) is back and continuing to invade the dreams of Elm Street teenagers. However, this time, Freddy’s power is transferred through the dream essence of the people he kills, and Alice finds herself gaining the abilities of her fallen friends to fight back against him. As Freddy wreaks havoc on the town, Alice must confront her own fears and come to terms with her newfound abilities in order to defeat Freddy once and for all.
