Disney’s Aladdin for the Game Gear, released in 1994, is a side-scrolling platformer based on the hit animated film. Players control Aladdin as he runs, jumps, and fights through levels inspired by the movie, including Agrabah, the Cave of Wonders, and the Sultan’s Palace. Armed with a sword and a limited supply of apples to throw at enemies, Aladdin must defeat guards, avoid hazards, and collect gems along the way. The game features colorful graphics, fluid animations, and a soundtrack adapted from the film. While different from the Genesis and SNES versions, the Game Gear adaptation still captures the magic of Aladdin’s adventure.
