Miami Blues (1990) is a darkly comedic crime film that follows a recently released convict, Frederick Frenger Jr., who arrives in Miami and quickly embarks on a violent crime spree. After killing a Hare Krishna at the airport, he impersonates a police officer and begins enforcing his own twisted sense of justice. Meanwhile, a weary, eccentric detective closes in on him. The film blends offbeat humor with gritty action and features Alec Baldwin as the unpredictable Frenger, Fred Ward as Sgt. Hoke Moseley, and Jennifer Jason Leigh as Susie, a naive young woman who falls for Frenger.
