Mickey's Christmas Carol (1983) is a 26-minute animated featurette that reimagines Charles Dickens' classic novella with Disney characters. In this adaptation, Scrooge McDuck portrays Ebenezer Scrooge, while Mickey Mouse plays his underpaid clerk, Bob Cratchit. The story follows Scrooge's transformation from a miserly businessman to a generous benefactor after being visited by three spirits: Goofy as Jacob Marley, Jiminy Cricket as the Ghost of Christmas Past, and Willie the Giant as the Ghost of Christmas Present. The film was directed by Burny Mattinson and produced by Walt Disney Productions, debuting in theaters on December 16, 1983, alongside a re-release of The Rescuers. It was later nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1984
