Playboy Collector's Edition Volume 1 (1982) Vintage CED Videodisc TESTED WORKING
Playboy Collector's Edition Volume 1 (1983) is the first in a series of video magazines produced by Playboy Enterprises, running approximately 85 minutes and directed by George Elanjian Jr. Designed to bring the tone and content of the magazine to the screen, the film features a mix of Playmate pictorials, celebrity interviews, music, comedy sketches, and cultural segments. Highlights include a feature on 1982 Playmate of the Year Shannon Tweed, a video centerfold of January 1983 Playmate Lonny Chin, an interview with John and Bo Derek, and a pictorial of actress Barbara Carrera. Other segments include coverage of the Playboy Jazz Festival, comedy shorts by Michael Nesmith, and a performance by the Crazy Horse Saloon dancers. Released on various formats including VHS, Betamax, and laserdisc, this volume marked the beginning of Playboy’s expansion into multimedia and captures the style and entertainment of the early 1980s.
