Rosemary's Baby is a 1968 psychological horror film directed by Roman Polanski, based on the novel by Ira Levin. The story follows Rosemary Woodhouse, a young woman who moves into an old New York City apartment with her husband, Guy. As Rosemary becomes pregnant, she grows increasingly suspicious of her eccentric neighbors and her husband's strange behavior. Isolated and fearful, she begins to suspect a sinister conspiracy surrounding her pregnancy. The film builds tension through paranoia and psychological unease, ultimately revealing that Rosemary is carrying the Antichrist, the result of a satanic pact made by her husband for personal gain. With standout performances, especially by Mia Farrow, Rosemary's Baby is widely regarded as a landmark in horror cinema for its chilling atmosphere and slow-burning dread.
