The Sega Genesis combined with the Sega CD Model 1 is a notable setup from the early 1990s. The Sega Genesis, also known as the Mega Drive outside North America, is a 16-bit home video game console released in 1988. It was known for its robust library of games and superior graphics and sound capabilities compared to its predecessors.
The Sega CD Model 1, released in 1991, was an add-on for the Genesis that allowed it to play CD-based games. This combination expanded the Genesis's capabilities by providing enhanced audio and video quality, larger storage capacity for games, and the ability to play full-motion video sequences. The Sega CD Model 1 connected to the Genesis via a side-mounted interface, creating a distinctive two-tiered appearance. This setup was popular among gamers for its innovative features and the expanded game library it offered.
Bundle includes the attached Sega Genesis + Model 1 Sega CD. Comes with both power cords but does not come with AV cables. Also comes original manual and two controllers, one of which is an aftermarket controller. Everything seems to be in good condition. Untested, sold as-is.
