*Star Trek III: The Search for Spock* (1984) is the third installment in the *Star Trek* film series. Directed by Leonard Nimoy, the film picks up immediately after the events of *Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan*, where the crew of the USS Enterprise is left grieving the death of their beloved captain, Spock. However, they soon discover that Spock's consciousness has been transferred to the body of his close friend, Dr. McCoy, and that the Vulcan is alive but trapped on the dying planet of Genesis. Captain Kirk and his crew embark on a daring mission to retrieve Spock, defying Starfleet orders and facing off against Klingon forces led by the villainous Kruge.
