Torchy Blane in Panama (1938) Original One-Sheet Mystery Movie Poster 27x41 RARE
This very rare poster was printed by Associated Displays Corporation which was a company based in New York City. From 1936 to roughly 1941, this company printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets for three major studios (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios).
"Torchy Blane in Panama," released in 1938, is a crime mystery film directed by William Clemens. It is part of the popular "Torchy Blane" series and features Glenda Farrell as the titular character, Torchy Blane, a tenacious and sharp-witted reporter. Torchy, along with her fiancé, Detective Steve McBride, played by Barton MacLane, travels to Panama to solve a murder mystery involving stolen funds and international intrigue.
Condition: Good to Very Good. The poster was folded in half a few extra times resulting in a light vertical foldline at left and right. It has some scuffs near Lane's image at bottom and some pinholes around the edges. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after a pretty simple linenbacking the poster will look great!
