X-Men #28, published in 1967, introduces Banshee, a mutant with a powerful sonic scream that can incapacitate foes or enable flight. Initially manipulated by the villainous Factor Three, Banshee clashes with the X-Men before ultimately breaking free from their control. This issue adds a unique character to the X-Men universe, foreshadowing his later role as an ally and, eventually, a full-fledged X-Man.
